Lufthansa Group Expands Long-Haul Flights Amid Demand Surge

Airlines & Airports

Lufthansa Group airlines are adding a number of extra long-haul flights after a sharp rise in demand, particularly for routes to Asia and Africa.

Lufthansa Airlines has already scheduled several additional services for the coming weeks. The airline will operate four extra flights between Munich and Singapore, as well as two special flights between Frankfurt and Cape Town. Two additional flights from Frankfurt to Riyadh are also planned.

Austrian Airlines has also expanded its long-haul operations, introducing ten special flights between Vienna and Bangkok to meet the increased passenger demand.

According to the airline group, the newly announced services are already available for booking through all standard sales channels. Lufthansa Group said it continues to monitor market developments closely and may add further special flights if demand remains strong.
