Heathrow Renames Terminal 4 to ‘Terminal Paw’ for Bear Comeback
Heathrow Airport is tugging at heartstrings once again with the return of its beloved bear duo, Doris and Edward Bair, starring in a brand-new advert launching 24 October. To celebrate their comeback, Terminal 4 has been temporarily renamed ‘Terminal Paw’, complete with new signage and plenty of paw-some photo ops.
The furry couple, who first appeared in Heathrow’s 2016 Christmas campaign, return to screens for the first time in seven years. The new advert follows them through a lighthearted journey across the airport—from Pod Parking to Duty Free—capturing those relatable pre-flight moments, including the all-too-familiar struggle with a sticky luggage tag and playful spritzing of perfume testers.
Set to a touching rendition of ‘It Must Be Love’ by British artist Maius Mollis, the film was shot across Terminals 2 and 5, with Heathrow staff making cameo appearances as passengers. The heartwarming story is a celebration of love, adventure, and the joy of travelling with someone special.
“Doris and Edward hold a very special place in our passengers’ hearts,” said Ross Baker, Heathrow’s Chief Commercial Officer. “Their story embodies the spirit of travel – full of love, laughter, and a little bit of mischief.”
Bear sales are already booming at Heathrow, with more than 82,000 teddy bears sold annually—that’s over 220 every day. The airport’s bestsellers include the Harrods bear, Paddington Bear, and London-themed plush toys. Starting January 2026, travellers will be able to purchase exclusive Doris and Edward bears directly from Heathrow.
The campaign not only marks a nostalgic return but also reinforces Heathrow’s message: that it’s more than just an airport—it’s a place where meaningful journeys begin.
Watch Doris and Edward’s return starting 24 October on YouTube and social media, and keep an eye out for them roaming the halls of Terminal Paw this holiday season.
