Eurowings launches new Gatwick routes to Germany
Eurowings has launched new routes from London Gatwick, strengthening connections between the UK and Germany ahead of the summer travel season.
The Lufthansa Group carrier began operating 13 weekly flights to Cologne on March 29, marking its only UK connection to the German city. A second route to Stuttgart was added on April 14, with six weekly services now available.
Both routes operate from Gatwick’s North Terminal and are aimed at both business and leisure travellers, offering onward connections across Eurowings’ European network.
Airport officials said the addition of Eurowings enhances Gatwick’s short-haul offering and provides greater choice for passengers travelling to key German destinations.
The new services form part of a broader expansion at London Gatwick, which is set to offer more than 230 routes this summer. The airport is also welcoming several new airline partners, including Jet2, Air France and AirAsia X, as it continues to grow its network.
Eurowings said the new routes will improve connectivity between the UK and Germany, supporting travel for business, tourism and visiting friends and family.
The move reflects continued demand for European travel and underlines Gatwick’s role as a key hub for short-haul connections.
