Emirates introduces daily flights to Colombo, Sri Lanka
Starting 1st of August 2016, the air carrier will operate five daily flights between Dubai and Colombo
2.520 seats and a cargo capacity of 161 tonnes per week will be added with the new service, aiming both to respond growing demand of travellers between the two destinations and to support import-export trade opportunities between Sri Lanka and Emirates’ global network.

“Colombo is a very popular destination for both business and leisure travellers, and is a convenient gateway to Sri Lanka’s idyllic beaches, picturesque countryside and nature reserves.
The increased frequency provides our customers with greater flexibility in their travel plans, allowing them to explore this exciting destination and connect seamlessly to other flights on Emirates’ extensive global network.”
Flight EK648, operated by a Boeing 777-300 ER airplane, will begin its services on 1st of August 2016. The award-winning airline also allows its passengers to earn Skywards Miles that can be exchanged for other benefits, like free tickets and travel upgrades.
