Wizz Air resumes Tel Aviv flights ahead of schedule

Wizz Air has announced it will resume flights to Tel Aviv from 8 August 2025, more than a month earlier than originally planned. The move comes as air travel in the region recovers, and the airline aims to meet surging demand with 24 routes from 11 countries.
The early return solidifies Wizz Air’s position as the number one low-cost carrier in Israel and one of the most prominent European airlines serving the country.
“We’re back — and we’re back with purpose,” said András Radó, Head of Communications at Wizz Air. “Our early return to Tel Aviv demonstrates our commitment to our loyal Israeli passengers and to keeping the world connected.”
Ten routes to restart in August, more to follow in September
The airline’s popular routes to Budapest, Larnaca, Milan, Rome, London, Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Sofia, and Abu Dhabi are part of the early relaunch, with 10 routes to 8 countries resuming ahead of schedule. The remaining Tel Aviv-bound routes will follow on 15 September.
With 31,000 seats to Tel Aviv now on sale, Wizz Air is making a bold return to Israel’s skies, offering fares starting from 59.99 EUR / 169 ILS. Tickets are available now via wizzair.com and the WIZZ app.
Here’s when key routes resume:
Budapest – Tel Aviv: from 8 August, five times a week
Larnaca – Tel Aviv: from 8 August, five times a week
Abu Dhabi – Tel Aviv: from 15 August, three times a week
London Luton – Tel Aviv: from 22 August, five times a week
Remaining routes from 1 September: Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Rome, Milan, Sofia
With over 830 routes across 190 destinations in 51 countries, Wizz Air aims to carry 75 million passengers in 2025, further cementing its mission to make air travel more affordable and accessible.
As demand rises for regional travel, Wizz Air’s early relaunch into Tel Aviv positions it ahead of competitors, once again connecting Israel with key European and Middle Eastern hubs.
