Wizz Air resumes Tel Aviv flights a month ahead of schedule

Wizz Air has announced it will resume flights to Tel Aviv from 8 August 2025, more than a month earlier than initially scheduled. The decision comes as air travel in the region shows strong recovery, and demand from Israeli and international passengers continues to grow.
“We’re back — and we’re back with purpose,” said András Radó, Head of Communications at Wizz Air. “Our early return to Tel Aviv demonstrates our commitment to our loyal Israeli passengers and to keeping the world connected.”
The airline had originally planned to resume flights on 15 September but will now bring forward operations on 10 of its 24 Tel Aviv-bound routes, connecting Israel with Budapest, Larnaca, Milan, Rome, London, Vienna, Bucharest, Iasi, Sofia and Abu Dhabi.
Wizz Air strengthens its lead in Israel
With this move, Wizz Air is set to become Israel’s largest European low-cost carrier by capacity. The relaunch includes over 31,000 seats to Tel Aviv, now available for booking at wizzair.com and via the WIZZ mobile app, with fares starting at 59.99 EUR / 169 ILS.
The remaining Tel Aviv routes will restart as planned on 15 September.
Wizz Air currently operates a network of more than 830 routes to nearly 190 destinations across 51 countries. In 2025, the airline expects to carry 75 million passengers, reinforcing its mission to make air travel affordable and accessible across Europe, the Middle East, and beyond.
By resuming flights to Tel Aviv ahead of schedule, Wizz Air reaffirms both its strategic presence in the Israeli market and its broader ambition to lead sustainable, low-cost aviation in the region.
