Wizz Air Launches Turku–Vilnius Route in December

Turku Airport is set to welcome a new international connection this winter as Hungarian low-cost carrier Wizz Air launches scheduled flights between Turku, Finland and Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. The new route will begin operations on December 12, 2025, with three to four weekly departures using the airline’s modern Airbus A321neo aircraft.
The new service offers a direct flight time of just 1 hour and 25 minutes between the two cities, improving travel options for both business and leisure passengers in southwestern Finland.
“We are delighted that Wizz Air is expanding its offering from Turku Airport,” said Petri Vuori, Finavia’s Senior Vice President of Route Development. “This new route is already the second Wizz Air connection to Europe opening from Turku this autumn. These connections benefit both businesses and leisure travellers in the region.”
Earlier this year, Wizz Air announced another new route from Turku to Bucharest, which is scheduled to begin in October. The airline has also operated flights between Turku and Gdańsk since 2008, reinforcing its long-standing presence at the airport.
The Turku–Vilnius route adds to Wizz Air’s growing network across Northern and Eastern Europe, providing travelers in both countries with convenient, low-cost connectivity ahead of the busy winter season.
