Wizz Air Expands Its Activity – Four New Destinations

Overt the following 17 weeks or so, the company will allocate 21 aircrafts to the European bases, which will be able to support 700 additional weekly departures, making an important difference.

This move means that Wizz Air will operate more than 600 routes that connect 145 destinations across 44 countries.

Even more, flights will become available from four brand new destinations: Athens, Tallinn, Kharkiv and Vienna.

The expansion was possible thans to an investment of more than $2 billion at 11 bases in the UK, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, Hungary, Romania and Georgia.

The company will start its 2018 expansion in Budapest this week, when a new Airbus 320 aircraft will arrive, making it the 11th plane based in the Hungarian Capital.

By September, the company will have already allocated an additional 7 aircrafts at the Luton base, and will launch 8 new routes to Larnaca, Tirana, Tallinn, Bratislava, Lviv, Athens, Keflavik and Bari.

Still, the company maintains its commitment of maintaining low fares and enhancing the passenger experience, earning the trust and loyalty of customers in return.

Furthermore, thanks to the company’s strategy, it is a significant contributor to the growth of local economies in the communities in which it operates; it brings both direct employment and stimulates the job market in aviation support services, as well as in local tourism and hospitality industries.

By July 2018, 700 aviation professionals will join the Wizz Air team and contribute to the success of the company.
