Wizz Air Continues to Expand its Base in Belgrade

News

Wizz Air, Europe’s fastest growing airline and the most sustainable in terms of environmental sustainability, has announced further expansion to Belgrade, where it will be deploying one of its Airbus A321ceo planes.

Five new routes and increased frequency on five routes from Belgrade are possible thanks to the allocation of the new aircraft. Tickets for the new route are available at wizzair.com and on the airline's mobile application.

Wizz Air will add one more aircraft to its Belgrade base. This will increase the base's capacity to four aircraft. This will increase the number of routes to the base to 23 and include the launch of flights from the capital of Serbia. Wizz Air can also increase the frequency of its flights to Paris Beauvaris, Barcelona Beauvaris, Eindhoven and Rome – Fiumicino with the added capacity.

We are thrilled to expand in Belgrade. This is a demonstration of our commitment to Serbian markets, where we are number one ULCC carrier both by seat and passenger numbers. We will be operating 4 aircraft out of the airport, which will allow us to connect Serbia's capital to many other destinations. Our latest aircraft was allocated in Belgrade to strengthen our market offering, giving our customers in Serbia the chance to travel on 23 routes in 13 different countries from Belgrade, and 5 additional routes from within Serbia," comments Evelin Jeckel Network Officer at Wizz Air.
