Wizz Air Adds Four New Polish Routes for Summer 2026

Airlines & Airports

Wizz Air has announced four new routes from Poland for its summer 2026 season, including direct flights from Gdańsk, Katowice and Lublin to Rijeka (Croatia) — a brand-new destination in the airline’s network — as well as a new connection from Katowice to Rimini (Italy). Tickets are already on sale at wizzair.com and via the mobile app.

The new routes will begin operating between late March and early June 2026, with two to three weekly flights, offering Polish travellers more options on the Adriatic coast. All flights will be served by Wizz Air’s Airbus A321neo aircraft, known for lower fuel burn and a reduced environmental footprint per seat.

Rijeka, located on Croatia’s Kvarner Gulf, becomes a new station in the Wizz Air network, offering access to beaches, islands and historic architecture. Rimini, on Italy’s Adriatic Riviera, adds another leisure destination known for beaches, nightlife and proximity to San Marino and Emilia-Romagna.

“With these new routes, we are further expanding the choice of convenient and great-value travel opportunities for our Polish customers,” said Salvatore Gabriele Imperiale, Corporate Communications Manager at Wizz Air.

The announcement comes as Wizz Air continues rapid growth in Poland, where the airline has launched multiple new routes and strengthened its presence at bases including Gdańsk, Wrocław and Katowice. Between January and November 2025, Wizz Air operated nearly 61,000 flights in Poland, carrying almost 13 million passengers, up 20% year-on-year.

New Polish routes launching in 2026:

  • Gdańsk – Rijeka: Tue, Sat from 9 Jun 2026

  • Lublin – Rijeka: Tue, Sat from 9 Jun 2026

  • Katowice – Rijeka: Tue, Thu, Sat from 9 Jun 2026

  • Katowice – Rimini: Mon, Fri from 31 Mar 2026

New Rimini Route from Sofia

Wizz Air has also announced a new direct route from Sofia to Rimini, starting 31 March 2026 and operating three times weekly. Fares start from 48.99 BGN.

Rimini is known for its wide beaches, rich Roman history, vibrant nightlife, and easy access to San Marino. The route becomes the eighth new service from Sofia this year, expanding Wizz Air’s Bulgarian offering.

“This expansion reflects our commitment to providing passengers in Bulgaria with more choice and convenience,” said Anastasia Novak, Corporate & Sustainability Communications Manager.

New Bratislava Route from Yerevan

Wizz Air will also launch a new direct route from Yerevan to Bratislava beginning 13 January 2026, operating three times a week. Fares start at 29.99 EUR.

Bratislava’s riverside charm, medieval old town and Danube views make it a growing leisure destination for travellers from Armenia. This is Wizz Air’s ninth new route from Yerevan this year, reinforcing the airline’s leading position in Armenia.
