Wizz Air Adds Cluj Flights to Malta and Dubrovnik
Wizz Air has announced two new summer 2026 routes from Cluj-Napoca International Airport, opening direct connections to Malta and Dubrovnik and broadening travel options for passengers in Romania.
The new services will operate during the peak summer season, with flights from Cluj-Napoca to Malta International Airport and Dubrovnik Airport. These additions build on Wizz Air’s strategy to strengthen its presence in Central and Eastern Europe and offer affordable connectivity to popular holiday destinations around the Mediterranean.
Malta, known for its rich cultural heritage, warm climate and historic sites, joins Wizz Air’s growing network of beach and city break destinations served from Cluj. Dubrovnik — a UNESCO World Heritage city on the Croatian Adriatic coast — will also be directly accessible, offering travellers a blend of history, scenic views and seaside leisure.
Both new routes will be operated with Wizz Air’s modern, fuel-efficient Airbus A320 family aircraft, featuring comfortable seating and competitive fares designed to appeal to holidaymakers and leisure travellers.
The airline says the expanded schedule from Cluj reflects strong demand for Mediterranean travel from Romanian passengers, while enhancing choice and flexibility for summer holiday planning. Tickets for the Malta and Dubrovnik routes are now available for booking through Wizz Air’s website and mobile app.
With these additions, Wizz Air continues to expand its Romanian network, tapping into rising travel demand and supporting tourism links between Romania and key European destinations.
