Wizz Air Adds 10 New Routes in Poland

Airlines & Airports

Wizz Air is strengthening its presence in Poland with a major network expansion from Kraków and Katowice. The low-cost carrier is adding two new Airbus A321neo aircraft to its local fleet, enabling the launch of 10 new European routes over the next year.

From Kraków, travelers will gain access to four new destinations: Bilbao in Spain, Verona in Italy, Vilnius in Lithuania, and Tallinn in Estonia. Meanwhile, Katowice passengers can look forward to six new routes: Porto and Faro in Portugal, Brindisi and Lamezia Terme in Italy, Brașov in Romania, and Maastricht in the Netherlands.

The first flights to Porto, Tallinn, and Vilnius will take off in October 2025, while the remaining routes will follow in spring 2026. These additions cater to a mix of leisure travelers seeking beach holidays and city breaks, offering affordable access to scenic coastal towns and cultural capitals.

Wizz Air highlights that both newly based aircraft are Airbus A321neo models, which use 20% less fuel and produce 50% less noise than previous-generation planes. The airline operates one of the youngest fleets in the world, averaging just 4.58 years old.

In the first half of 2025, Wizz Air recorded over 32,000 flights to and from Poland, a 9.3% year-on-year increase, and carried more than 120 million passengers in the country since launch. The expansion reflects the airline’s long-term commitment to the Małopolska and Silesia regions, offering travelers more destinations while supporting environmentally responsible operations.
