Virgin Galactic Will Begin Offering Commercial Space Flights

The company has announced scheduled flight times for June and August.
Two future space trips, both for commercial purposes, have been confirmed by Virgin Galactic.
Between June 27 and June 30, the venture plans to launch its first mission, dubbed "Galactic 01," which will primarily serve as a scientific research expedition and will be staffed by three members of the Italian Air Force and the National Research Council of Italy. The focus will be on learning more about microgravity.
Following the first launch in June, regular passenger flights are scheduled to start aboard of the "Galactic 02" mission in early August. Although their names were not disclosed, "Galactic 02" would include the world’s first private crew.
Virgin Galactic CEO Michael Colglazier remarked:
"We are launching the first commercial space-line for Earth with two dynamic products: our scientific research and private astronaut space missions."
According to the CEO, innovation, hard work, and a dedication to providing an outstanding and really transformational customer experience have drove Virgin Galactic into this next thrilling phase.
Richard Branson's Virgin Galactic claims to be "the world's first commercial space-line," while the company's mission is to bring together individuals from all walks of life who share a passion for exploring the cosmos. The company's 'Unity' spaceship is used for all of its interplanetary journeys. In a recent financial statement, the business claimed there was a "substantial backlog and pent-up client demand," and it also disclosed that seats were sold for a starting price of $450,000.
Virgin Galactic's "Spaceport America," situated near Albuquerque, will serve as the launch site for the trip.
