The flag carrier, which operates flights to 62 destinations across the African continent, announced it will serve the Tripoli route three times a week—on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

The resumption of flights was celebrated during an inauguration ceremony at Mitiga International Airport, where Turkish Airlines CEO Bilal Ekşi expressed his enthusiasm: "We are excited to once again connect continents, this time by resuming our flights to Tripoli. In celebration of this resumption, Turkish Airlines has introduced special fares for flights between Istanbul and Tripoli. Passengers can travel from Istanbul to Tripoli for $379 and from Tripoli to Istanbul for $299 for tickets purchased between March 23 and May 15, 2024, for travel between March 28 and May 31, 2024. • Flights commence on March 28, 2024, with inaugural flights TK 639 and TK 640 scheduled for that day.
• Regular operations on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays will start from March 31, 2024, to October 24, 2024, with flights leaving Istanbul at 08:00 and arriving in Tripoli at 10:00. Return flights depart Tripoli at 12:00, arriving in Istanbul at 16:20.
