Travel Advisory Released by UAE Airline Following UK Air Traffic System Outage

Two main UAE airlines announced several travel advisory because of UKG air traffic failures.
Presently, a pair of UAE airlines, namely Etihad Airways and Emirates headquartered in Dubai, operate direct flights to the United Kingdom, constituting one of the most bustling air corridors originating from the UAE.
Etihad Airways, headquartered in Abu Dhabi, has indicated that all its scheduled flights to the UK are anticipated to proceed as planned. However, due to a malfunction in the UK's air traffic control system, which has led to disruptions in takeoffs and landings, there might be instances of delays.
In an official statement to Khaleej Times on Monday, the UAE's national airline affirmed, “Etihad Airways is advising passengers travelling to and from London and Manchester that there may be flight delays due to the ongoing Flight Data Processing System failure affecting all airlines operating in the UK. All flights are currently planned to operate as scheduled, however, we are working closely with airport authorities and will inform guests immediately if there is any change,”
National Air Traffic Services (NATS), the flight control operator for Britain, reported a "technical issue" impacting flight schedules to and from the European nation. The precise duration required to rectify this technical setback remains uncertain. Nonetheless, Eurocontrol, the European air traffic authority, cautioned that extensive delays were likely due to a "flight data processing system failure" within the UK.
This busy route connecting the UAE and the UK is currently serviced by two UAE carriers: Etihad Airways and Emirates, stationed in Dubai.
To stay informed about the latest developments in flight schedules to the UK, Etihad advised passengers to ensure their contact details are up-to-date, enabling them to receive timely notifications via SMS or email.
The airline expressed regret for the inconvenience caused by this system malfunction, stressing that the safety and well-being of both passengers and crew remain their utmost priority.
British Airways, in tandem, conveyed that it is closely collaborating with NATS to assess the ramifications of the technical predicament impacting the airspace of the United Kingdom.
