
Train Service Changes to Fiumicino Airport Due to Infrastructure Work

Trenitalia has announced that due to infrastructure upgrades, there will be significant changes to train services on the Orte–Rome–Fiumicino line from May 9 to 11, 2025. Passengers are advised to anticipate changes in train numbers, shortened routes, or cancellations during this period.

Replacement Services
To assist affected passengers, Trenitalia is providing alternative transportation options:

Metro Line B (Tiburtina–Ostiense): Passengers holding Trenitalia tickets can ride Metro Line B for free between Rome Tiburtina (Tiburtina FS) and Rome Ostiense (Piramide) stations. Passengers should speak with Trenitalia staff at the metro gates to receive a valid ticket.

Replacement Bus RMA99: This night service departs from Rome Ostiense (Piazzale dei Partigiani) at 11:30 PM, arriving in Poggio Mirteto at 1:02 AM, with intermediate stops along the way.
Changes to Train Timetables

Rome Ostiense → Fiumicino Airport: Trains will now depart 3 minutes earlier from Roma Ostiense to Parco Leonardo. The arrival time at Fiumicino Airport will remain unchanged.

Fiumicino Airport → Rome Ostiense: Trains will arrive 3 minutes later at Roma Ostiense.
Leonardo Express Cancellations on May 11, 2025
Additionally, on Sunday, May 11, 2025, some Leonardo Express trains between Rome Termini and Fiumicino Airport may be canceled. Passengers are encouraged to check for the latest updates on these services.
