The 2024 IATA Annual General Meeting To Be Welcomed by Dubai

According to a recent announcement made by IATA, the 80th edition of the AGM, as well as the World Air Transport Summit will be held in the UAE on 2-4 June 2024.

 

The 79th IATA AGM, held in Istanbul, decided the UAE city will play host to the 80th annual meeting of the aviation industry. In 2024, key players in the aviation industry will assemble in Dubai for the IATA Annual General Meeting, as the location is a bustling metropolis and a major international airport.

Willie Walsh, IATA’s director general, commented with the occasion of the announcement:

“The United Arab Emirates’ positive approach to aviation has built a strong airline with a strong hub airport. Together, these make an enormously powerful and positive contribution to the society and economy of the UAE.

“Holding the AGM in Dubai will be a showcase of what can be achieved by aviation with supportive government policies and decisions.”

The president of Emirates Airline, Tim Clark, also said that the renowned national carrier is looking forward to hosting its peers in the aviation business in Dubai next year.

The United Arab Emirates and Dubai will play home to the summit of the aviation industry's most influential figures for the very first time.
