Southwest Airlines has recently announced new nonstop routes throughout the US
Traveling aficionados have new reasons to get excited, as Southwest Airlines announced last week new nonstop routes across the US.
More than a dozen new nonstop routes across North America have been included in Southwest Airlines’ schedule starting from April 8, last week. Worth mentioning is that six of them are from San Jose, California to several key cities across the country, such as Boise, Houston, Spokane, St. Louis, New Orleans and Albuquerque (the last two of the series operate on Sundays).
But these are not the only new routes introduced by the company. There’s also a new one operating between San Francisco and Austin, for instance. Two new more routes are scheduled to fly between Sacramento and two other cities (Austin and St. Louis) on a regular basis. Newark is also enjoying two new routes to key cities in the US, and those are Oakland and San Diego.
Some great news comes for people living in the Bay Area and Orlando, as the Southwest Airlines company announced their first nonstop connection operating on a daily basis between the two regions (Oakland – Orlando) starting off July 15, this year.
Last Saturday, April 14, was the first day flights between Orlando and Oklahoma City, and between Kansas City, Missouri and Pensacola, Florida operated. These flights are designed to work on a weekly nonstop service.
As far as international routes are concerned, the company announced two new seasonal routes, which will operate on a weekly service between Cancun and Columbus, as well as between New Orleans and Cancun.
Southwest Airlines is one of the largest airline companies, with more than 4000 weekday departures from around 100 cities across the US and worldwide.
