Singapore Now Offers Cat-Friendly High-End Cruises

The Royal Albatross has opened its doors to cats and their owners, following its previous policy of accepting canine guests.
With the launch of a brand-new luxury cruise ship in Singapore, feline passengers will have access to even more of life's luxuries.
The two-and-a-half-hour cruise on the 47-meter-tall Royal Albatross Singapore welcomes guests' four-legged companions. Guests may enjoy a small fireworks show while they take in the sights of the city skyline as they sail across the island paradise of Sentosa.
The lucky felines may unwind in "cat-banas" while their owners dine on a four- or seven-course meal on the terrace. Various playpens and toys may be found inside as well. The maximum occupancy is 15 cats and 130 people.
Cats should be leashed and tethered at all times for safety reasons. A four-month age requirement, vaccinations, sterilization, and the use of carriers are all part of the stipulations for the pets.
The Royal Albatross website warns that cats that aren't accustomed to being in the great outdoors shouldn't come on the voyage.
The cruises' organizer, Tall Ship Adventures, claims it engaged with specialists and animal welfare groups including the SPCA and the Cat Welfare Society to assure passengers' safety.
The success of their dog cruises, which have seen more than 2,000 dogs pass through their doors since 2021, led to the company's decision to launch a sunset cruise just for feline passengers.
Prices for the exclusive cruise begin at US$166.
