Singapore Airlines Elevates Premium Economy Class with New Features

Singapore Airlines (SIA) is setting a new standard for its Premium Economy Class in-flight experience with a comprehensive revamp that includes expanded dining options, the introduction of champagne service, and a brand-new amenity kit. These upgrades, available from March 31, 2024, aim to enhance the journey of travelers seeking extra comfort and value.

Upon boarding, Premium Economy passengers will be greeted with a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne, setting the tone for a luxurious flight experience. They will also be presented with a hard copy menu card, showcasing an extensive selection of meals, snacks, and beverages designed to cater to diverse tastes and preferences.

Elevated Dining Experience

SIA's commitment to culinary excellence is evident in the over 200 new dishes developed for Premium Economy passengers. The meal service includes a seasonal appetizer, a main course, bread, dessert, and cheese and crackers, all presented on custom-made porcelain serviceware. New appetizer options like garlic roasted prawns and Japanese cold noodles, premium main courses including Beef Bourguignon and Thai-style Crab Curry, and specially crafted desserts are just some of the highlights.

Passengers can also take advantage of the expanded Book the Cook menu, which allows for meal pre-ordering from a selection of up to 20 dishes, including plant-based wellness options and new additions such as Sake Teriyaki and Slow Braised Lamb Ragout.

Specially Curated Beverages

The beverage selection complements the meal service with a range of wines, champagne, spirits, signature cocktails, and non-alcoholic options carefully curated by SIA's panel of wine experts. The addition of Peppermint and Chamomile teas, along with hot chocolate from Cadbury, enriches the non-alcoholic beverage assortment.

New Amenity Kit for Enhanced Comfort

For flights lasting at least seven hours, passengers will receive an all-new Out of the Woods amenity kit. This eco-friendly kit includes eyeshades, slippers made from recycled PET material, and a lip balm in biodegradable packaging, emphasizing SIA's dedication to sustainability.

These enhancements are part of SIA's ongoing effort to deliver a personalized and exceptional in-flight experience. According to Mr. Yeoh Phee Teik, Senior Vice President Customer Experience, this revamp reflects SIA's philosophy of constant innovation based on customer feedback and market research.
