Radisson Hotel Group announces the opening of Radisson RED Auckland, a stylish hotel in Queen Street, marking its first venture in Auckland, New Zealand, slated for 2025.

In a significant move to expand its global footprint, Radisson Hotel Group is set to introduce the Radisson RED brand to Auckland, New Zealand. Slated to open in 2025, the Radisson RED Auckland will be situated in the vibrant heart of Queen Street, offering a fresh and modern lifestyle experience amidst the city's bustling cosmopolitan backdrop.

Radisson RED is known for its playful and dynamic atmosphere, featuring standout designs that aim to inspire and connect guests with the essence of their destination. The Auckland hotel draws its inspiration from the surrounding Aotea arts and entertainment precinct, offering social spaces designed for relaxation and engagement in an informal, yet inviting environment.

The announcement comes on the heels of New Zealand's tourism boom, following the reopening of international borders in August 2022. With a significant increase in overseas visitor arrivals, the Radisson RED Auckland aims to cater to the growing demand for unique accommodation options. The hotel is a venture of Stonewood Group, a leading developer in New Zealand, emphasizing Radisson Hotel Group's commitment to diverse business models within the local hospitality industry.

Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer at Radisson Hotel Group, highlighted the significance of this venture in their Australasia development strategy. Radisson RED's entry into Auckland represents a key milestone, offering an attractive proposition for urban locations with its pragmatic and innovative solutions.

Michael Chow, Co-founder and Director of Stonewood Group, expressed enthusiasm about partnering with Radisson Hotel Group. He emphasized the Radisson RED brand's strong commercial and operational value, as well as its distinct design concept that aligns with Queen Street’s arts district vibe.

The Radisson RED Auckland will feature stylish accommodations ranging from standard rooms to spacious two-bedroom suites. Amenities include an all-day dining restaurant, a wellness facility, and four function rooms for events. Part of a mixed-use development, the hotel will also offer dining and retail outlets, including a rooftop restaurant. Its prime location provides easy access to Auckland's waterfront, tourist attractions, and cultural landmarks.
