Radisson Hotel Group's Portfolio Saw Major Expansion In 2022

News

With a solid portfolio of nine unique brands and an expanding network of resorts, the group was one of the top three hospitality companies in the world in 2022.

By any means, 2022 was a golden year for hotel debuts for the premium lifestyle brand Radisson Collection, with properties debuting in Bilbao, Pula, Tirana, Riyadh, Tallinn, and Istanbul. The Radisson Collection, Santa Sofia Milan, the Radisson Collection Astorija Hotel Vilnius, the Radisson Collection Resort Galle in Sri Lanka, and the Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel are all scheduled to join the family in 2023.

The year 2022 had a number of significant openings for the upmarket Radisson RED brand in cities including Liverpool, Madrid, Gdansk, and Oslo. Addition of hotels in Belgium, Poland, Ethiopia, Tunisia, Dubai, Turkey, the Maldives, and India reinforced Radisson's position as the sector's quickest-developing upmarket brand in EMEA.

Over the last decade, Radisson Blu has grown to become the most popular ultra-luxury hotel chain throughout Europe, with locations now in South Sudan, Madagascar, the United Kingdom, and Spain. Over 20 more hotels were added to Radisson Individuals' portfolio in countries including Italy, France, Poland, and Thailand. With the establishment of Rakkh Resort, the Group made its debut in India, providing guests with the opportunity to indulge themselves with unique experiences like as wellness programmes, cultural tours, specialised cuisine, and much more. The Group will continue to build its hallmark midscale lifestyle brand, prizeotel, in 2023 after establishing three additional hotels that year.

Businesses, homeowners, and vacationers alike have all come to recognise the growing importance of resorts. The Radisson Beach Resort Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, Radisson Blu Mosi-Oa-Tunya, the Livingstone Resort, as well as hotels in Greece, Croatia, Vietnam, India, Sri Lanka and Morocco are all part of the Group's worldwide success.

Radisson Hotel Group has had a productive year in Asia Pacific in 2022, with 40% more signings in the area than in 2021. With the reopening of the market, Radisson Hotel Group expects to sign and open another 80 hotels in China, bringing its total number of properties in the country to 200 by the end of the next five years. In order to provide greater local assistance for owners and partners, the Group has opened up new, specialised Business Units in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Jakarta, and Sydney. Park Inn & Suites by Radisson, a mid-range hotel brand owned by Radisson Hotel Group, inked its first property in India in the fourth quarter of 2016 as part of a strategic relationship with Ruptub Solutions Private Limited.

“Thanks to the trust of our owners, the relevance of our brands and the generosity of our people, we continued to deliver remarkable growth in 2022. We remain agile, tenacious and innovative to respond to the evolving market conditions in 2023, which will bring exciting challenges and opportunities,” commented Elie Younes, Executive VP and Global CDO at Radisson Hotel Group.

The Group also unveiled its updated Radisson Rewards programme in the fourth quarter, which provides members with the quickest path to top-tier status in the industry, exclusive experiences and rewards, and the option to offset their carbon footprint during their stay. This feature is rare among reward programmes, but it's available via Radisson Rewards, making eco-friendly lodgings even more convenient.
