Quark Expeditions Expands its Polar Fleet with the Addition of Ocean Explorer

Quark Expeditions recently revealed the newest member of its fleet for the upcoming 2024-25 Antarctica season: the Ocean Explorer, previously known as the Vantage ship.
Andrew White, President of Quark Expeditions, emphasized the importance of top-quality ships and expedition teams for polar region journeys. “Ocean Explorer is an exemplary addition to our fleet, combining adventure, luxury, and cutting-edge technology. It's ideally suited for our guests who seek thrilling polar expeditions,” he said.
White also noted that the variety and innovation in their itineraries and polar experiences, ranging from kayaking in Antarctica to flightseeing over the Greenland Ice Sheet, are supported by the diversity of their fleet. He stressed that the variety of small polar vessels allows guests to personalize their journey and create their dream polar expedition.
The Ocean Explorer, an Infinity class polar expedition ship, was constructed in 2021 by SunStone Maritime Group, a prominent expedition ship-builder. Its Ice Class 1A and PC6 ratings place it on par with its upcoming sister ship, Ultramarine, known for its advanced technology.
Quark Expeditions is now accepting reservations for the Ocean Explorer's voyages for the Antarctic 2024/2025, Arctic 2025, and Antarctic 2025/2026 seasons.
