Qatar Airways Resumes Flights to Baghdad, Basra and Erbil
Qatar Airways is pushing further into its Middle East network recovery, announcing the return of passenger flights to three Iraqi cities — Baghdad, Basra, and Erbil — starting May 10, 2026.
Alongside the passenger resumptions, Qatar Airways will reintroduce one-way freighter services from Doha to Baghdad from May 7, ahead of the passenger launch, supporting cargo flows into the Iraqi capital as the broader network restoration gathers pace.
The Iraq resumptions follow a series of recent reinstatements across the region. Qatar Airways has already restored daily services to Dubai, Sharjah, Bahrain, Damascus, and Kozhikode as part of a phased effort to rebuild its global network after a period of significant disruption. The airline has confirmed its schedule will expand from June 16, 2026 to cover more than 150 destinations across six continents.
Passengers are advised to monitor Qatar Airways' official website and app regularly for schedule updates and to keep their contact details current, as flight schedules remain subject to change due to operational and regulatory factors.
