These include the introduction of boarding passes via WhatsApp, new meal options in all long-haul cabins, and upgraded amenities in Business and Premium Economy classes.
New Digital Services
WhatsApp Check-In and Notifications
Customers can now use WhatsApp to check in, obtain their boarding passes, review reservation details, and receive flight notifications. This service is available for destinations including domestic locations, European Schengen countries, the UK, Ireland, Chile, Peru, and Uruguay. Payments for additional services, such as extra luggage, will soon be possible through this channel. An exclusive WhatsApp service is also available for Iberia Plus Platinum, Infinita, and Infinita Prime customers.
Website and App Enhancements
Iberia has also improved functionalities on its website and mobile applications. These include an enhanced search engine, interactive maps, relevant destination information, and visibility on required travel documentation. New seat maps and the ability to change seats of the same type for free have also been introduced. Customers can personalize their profiles using My Iberia for quicker reservation, check-in, and flight change processes.
