Easter At Fancourt

Announcements
Fancourt in George will celebrate the Easter holidays with a series of exciting events for the whole family, offering a heady blend of good food and wine, music and supervised activities for the kids.
Kicking off on Wednesday 4 April, Henry White’s, Fancourt’s classic dining restaurant will set the scene for a Gourmet Wine Evening with a three-course menu prepared by Chef de Cuisine Charles Hayward. Guests can look forward to an appetiser of Cauliflower soup with caramelized cauliflower truffle and infused olive oil, followed by Cape crayfish and saffron ravioli, tomato fondue and concasse, sage crisps, and basil infused grape seed oil as hors d’oeuvre. Citrus and orange blossom sorbet will be served to clean the palate before the mouth-watering Henry White’s Beef Wellington with foiegras, mushroom port jus, creole style mashed potato and Swizz chard parcel as the main course. For the sweet tooth, look forward to Earl Grey crème brûlée, honey roast fig, and fruit pudding ice cream. Each course will be expertly paired by wine consultant Jane Simon, who has selected a range of wines from the Jordan hillside vineyards in Stellenbosch, to complete the gourmet taste sensation. Cost R375 per person, including wine. Booking is essential.

On Good Friday, 6 April a picnic music concert will be presented on the rolling lawns of the Manor House at 4pm. Surrounded by oak trees and manicured gardens, music lovers will enjoy a two-hour open air jazz concert by the four piece Garden Route Jazz Collective. The ticket price of R150 for adults, and R90 for children between 6 and 12 years (free for children under 6), includes a scrumptious Italian buffet menu, complete with mouth-watering desserts, which concert goers may enjoy while relaxing on their picnic blankets. Should it rain on the day of the event, the concert will take place indoors in the Fancourt Ballroom.

Fancourt continues its tradition of top quality, great value Sunday buffet lunches with an Easter Family Buffet on Sunday 8 April, at Fancourt’s Morning Glory restaurant. Whilst the adults will enjoy the views across the Outeniqua golf course, children will be entertained with a jumping castle and an array of other activities. Executive Chef Vito Fanizzo will present a delectable buffet that includes a selection of both cold and hot dishes, salads, traditional roast leg of lamb and vegetables, as well as an extensive dessert display. Cost: R220 per person and R120 for children between the ages of 6 and 12 years. Entry is free for children under 6.

Fancourt is furthermore offering an excellent value for money Family package throughout the year, which is also valid during the Easter holiday, at only R1999 per night for 2 adults sharing with up to 2 children (12 years and younger), including full English breakfast. The Fancourt Kids Club will offer daily comprehensive activities for children, while other resort activities during the holidays will include a Family Spit Braai and Easter Egg Hunt. Facilities include tennis courts, various swimming pools, and a mini-cinema, as well as a spa and three Gary Player designed golf courses, and access to exhilarating outdoor adventures that include mountain biking, hikes and walks.
