
Air China to Start Flights on Beijing - Mumbai route

Air China will start nonstop services on Beijing-Mumbai route starting on October 25, 2015.

The four weekly Beijing - Mumbai flights, operate on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. The flights takeoff from Beijing at 19:40 local time and land in Mumbai at 01:00 the next day. The return service leaves India at 02:30 Mumbai time and touches down in Beijing at 11:20.
The upcoming service from mainland China to Mumbai will spare travellers departing from Beijing the trouble of connecting through Hong Kong, Bangkok or Singapore. Now, passengers can seamlessly travel to the "Gate of India" after a flight that lasts for seven hours.
Mumbai is an important hub in India, being the country's largest seaport, as well as a center of commerce and entertainment. In the city, visitors can see the famous Bollywood and several World Heritage sites such as the grottos on Elephant Island.
In the last few years, travel between the two BRICS countries has been increasing following close political and economic relationships. To respond to the increasing market demand for air travel, Air China purposely created this new direct service.
Air China's route from Beijing to Mumbai is a significant part in the effort to build the Bangladesh - China - India - Myanmar Corridor.
This service means Air China now offers eight weekly nonstop flights between China and India and will also bring the total number of Asian-Pacific destinations served by the Chinese carrier to 17.
