LOT launches new Krakow routes to Rome, Barcelona and Madrid

LOT Polish Airlines has expanded its network from Krakow with the launch of three new direct routes to Rome, Barcelona and Madrid, strengthening the airport’s role as a key hub in Central and Eastern Europe.

 

All three routes officially launched on March 30, 2026, and are now part of the airline’s year-round schedule, offering both leisure and business travellers more options to explore Southern Europe.

The Krakow–Rome route operates up to five times per week during the summer season and up to four times weekly in winter. Flights to Barcelona are available up to four times per week throughout the year, while the Krakow–Madrid route offers the highest frequency, with up to six weekly flights year-round.

The expansion reflects growing demand for direct connections from the Malopolska region, with Krakow continuing to develop as both a major tourist destination and an important business centre.

During the Summer 2026 season, LOT will serve up to 11 destinations from Krakow, supported by increased capacity, including the addition of a Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The airline is also enhancing the onboard experience with modern cabin interiors designed in its “Pure Polish” style.

In addition to the new southern European routes, LOT continues to operate domestic flights and expand its international network, including services to Paris, Istanbul, New York and Chicago.

The latest expansion improves regional connectivity, supports tourism growth and strengthens Krakow Airport’s position as a major aviation hub in the region.
