Aeromexico and WestJet sign agreement

A new code-share agreement have been signed between the two airline companies that cooperate since December 2011
The new code-share agreement enables Aeromexico’s customers to have access to more Canadian destinations, such as Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Ottawa, Halifax, Deer Lake and St. John’s. The new flights will be operated via connections in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver.
On the other hand, the mutual deal provides WestJet guests new non-stop service to Mexico city via Canada's Montreal, Toronto, and Vancouver, with available WestJet flight rewards.
To welcome this new business deal with Aeromexico, Chris Avery, WestJet Vice-President, Network Planning, Alliances and Corporate Development commented:
“Guests of both WestJet and Aeromexico will now have opportunities to explore more destinations than ever before.”
Both airlines will also share non-code-share flights, meaning they will sell each other's flight tickets.
The new signed agreement enhances the relationship between the two carriers, that have mutual benefits since December 2011.
Anko van der Werff, Aeromexico’s Chief Revenue Officer, declared:
“Our airline is always looking to offer its customers the best connecting service on our partner network, and this code-share agreement with WestJet allows us to include more destinations and flights to and from Canada to Mexico and Latin America.”
