Public transport disruptions affect access to Berlin Airport until late April

Airlines & Airports

Passengers travelling to Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) are being advised of temporary disruptions to public transport services, affecting both S-Bahn and regional train connections.

According to updated information, S-Bahn lines S9 and S85 will operate only between BER Airport and Schöneweide from 20 March at 22:00 until 23 March at 01:30. From Schöneweide towards central Berlin, replacement bus services will be provided.

In addition, changes are affecting regional rail connections. The Airport Express (FEX) and RE20 lines will operate combined services every 15 minutes until 30 April.

Passengers should also expect possible timetable deviations, including partial cancellations or diversions, on several regional lines serving the airport, including RB22, RB24 and RB32.

Airport authorities advise travellers to check real-time updates via the Verkehrsverbund Berlin Brandenburg (VBB) website or transport apps before heading to the airport.

The temporary measures are expected to impact travel times, and passengers are encouraged to allow extra time for their journey.
