Peter Island Resort Announces Reopening Following Six-Year Hiatus

Peter Island Resort reopens after 6 years with new villas, infinity pool, upgraded spa, oceanfront conference center, and yacht club.
Peter Island Resort, located in the British Virgin Islands, is set to welcome guests again this year after a comprehensive six-year renovation following its closure due to Hurricane Irma in 2017. The luxury destination will introduce new and enhanced accommodations, including the newly built Beach Front Junior Suites, beachfront two-bedroom villas, and one-bedroom rooms/suites positioned along Deadman's Beach. An additional highlight is the introduction of an infinity pool with a view of Deadman's Beach.
Significant renovations extend to the luxury villas, with Falcons Nest being completely redesigned to offer panoramic 360-degree views of the surrounding British Virgin Islands from its mountain peak location. The Hawks Nest Villa is also receiving updates and redecoration, enhancing its hillside vista over Sprat Bay.
Expanding its offerings to cater to group events, the resort now features a 3,000-square-foot oceanfront conference center designed to host up to 180 guests, complete with a dedicated kitchen and versatile event spaces.
The resort's spa facilities have been upgraded to include seven treatment rooms, special couples' treatment areas, a fitness center, a spa boutique, and a beauty salon, complemented by a saltwater pool, outdoor relaxation spots, and a hot tub facing Big Reef Bay.
Dining at the resort will see the addition of two new restaurants: Drake Steakhouse, offering a Caribbean twist on classic surf-and-turf dishes by the beach, and the Drunken Pelican at the Yacht Club, providing a more laid-back dining experience with a comprehensive selection of drinks.
The updated Yacht Club will now support super yachts up to 200 feet and feature new recreational facilities, including courts for basketball, pickleball, and bocce ball, alongside dining and shopping options.
Peter Island Resort is already accepting bookings for stays starting from October 3, with the possibility of earlier availability pending the confirmation of an official reopening date. Starting rates for a night's stay at the resort are set at $1,000.
