Open borders for tourists aiming to visit Rwanda

News

Rwanda starts the new year with good news for its visitors.

Thanks to bilateral agreements the following nations can also visit Rwanda without a visa for a period of maximum 90 days: Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, DRC, Ghana, Guinea, Indonesia, Haiti, Mauritius, Philippines, Senegal, Seychelles, Sao Tome and Principe and Singapore.

All other nationals heading to Rwanda now benefit a 30-day visa upon arrival without prior application. The measure was implemented this year’s January 1st.

The decision came ahead of the African continent’s major festivals to come: Timkat baptism 2018, the world-renowned electronic music festival Ultra and the century old encounter at Dédougou, Burkina Faso with the International Festival of Masks and the Arts (FESTIMA).

FESTIMA gathers traditions from villages in Burkina Faso, Benin, Ivory Coast, Mali, Nigeria, Togo, and Senegal.

So, if willing to explore some of the most magnificent events in 2018 along with an amazing African country, hurry up, get your upon arrival visa and make a memorable trip with family and friends!
