MYAirline Goes Global And Launches Bangkok Services

News

With plans to grow outside its home country of Malaysia, MYAirline has selected Bangkok, Thailand, as its first overseas gateway.

Flights between Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok will operate daily beginning at the end of June. MYAirline will travel to both of Bangkok's international airports, and it will operate flights every day. The budget carrier will be the first Malaysian company to offer service from both terminals in Bangkok.

Given that the airline just started operating six months ago, this is a major achievement. Since then, it has been operating out of Kuala Lumpur to eight different cities throughout Malaysia.

The carrier’s CEO Rayner Teo commented with the occasion:

“Bangkok is a favoured destination for travellers from Malaysia, offering so much from its bustling streets and delicious food to its cultural landmarks and nightlife. We are excited to provide a more reliable, convenient, and cost-effective travel option for passengers.

“Similarly, we are excited to offer tourists and business people departing from Thailand the experience that Malaysians have been receiving aboard MYAirline for the past six months.”

Moreover, the airline is now taking reservations for future flights. On June 28th, flights will launch from KLIA2 to BKK, and on July 1st, flights will launch from KLIA2 to DMK. MYAirline will travel to Thailand 14 times each week, once to each of the two hubs. Beginning on August 17, they will provide four flights each day into Bangkok between both of its airports.

In addition, the airline is providing a unique discount for early-bird travellers in honour of its recent development strategy. Flights booked between June 28 and October 28 between May 10 and May 12 will have no base cost. Airport taxes, fuel surcharges, and other costs may also be due at the time of booking. In addition, the airline is planning to increase its international service; potential new destinations include Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia.
