Munich Airport’s Allresto to Operate "Lookout" Restaurant in New Surf Park

Munich Airport's catering subsidiary, Allresto, branches out with "Lookout" restaurant in O2 SURFTOWN MUC, offering a unique dining experience alongside surfing activities.

In a groundbreaking move for summer 2024, Allresto, Munich Airport's catering subsidiary, is set to operate its first restaurant outside the airport premises at the newly constructed “O2 SURFTOWN MUC” near Munich Airport. Named "Lookout" to reflect its unique position as an observation point for the surf park’s wave pool, the restaurant aims to provide a dynamic dining experience with a view of surfers in action.

The restaurant, embodying an international cuisine focus, will serve a variety of dishes including bowls and burgers, catering from morning snacks and barista-prepared coffee to lunch for local company employees. "Lookout" is designed to be the heart of “O2 SURFTOWN MUC,” featuring 100 indoor seats and an additional 120 seats on a terrace equipped with a bar. The venue will also offer Coodos – special event spaces – and a 100-square-meter LED screen for public screenings.

Jan-Henrik Andersson, Munich Airport Managing Director for Commercial and Security, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership with “O2 SURFTOWN MUC,” highlighting it as a flagship project for the region and a destination for global visitors.

Chris Boehm-Tettelbach, founder of “O2 SURFTOWN MUC,” praised Allresto's gastronomy and catering expertise, expressing confidence in delivering an unparalleled culinary experience at the new "Lookout" restaurant.

With a design focused on natural materials to ensure a warm, inviting atmosphere for all visitors, including surfers and families, "Lookout" aims to set new standards in dining and event hosting. The surf park itself, covering a 20,000 m2 area with a 10,000 m2 wave pool, caters to both professional and novice surfers, emphasizing “O2 SURFTOWN MUC” as an innovative leisure and event destination capable of hosting events for up to 4,000 people.
