Munich Airport Celebrates 25 Years of Its Christmas & Winter Market

Munich Airport is turning into a magical winter wonderland for the 25th year in a row. From November 14 to December 28, 2025, the Christmas and Winter Market at the Munich Airport Center (MAC) will welcome travelers, locals, and airport staff for a festive escape filled with lights, music, crafts, and more.

This year’s market features a festively decorated pine forest, nearly 40 cozy stalls, and the irresistible aromas of mulled wine, roasted almonds, and regional treats. Visitors can browse for handmade gifts, enjoy seasonal food, or just soak in the cozy holiday atmosphere.

A 600 sq. m ice rink returns for skating and curling, open for bookings via the airport website. New for 2025 is the “Wish Tree” initiative (Dec 6–7), where visitors can pick a child's wish from the tree and help fulfill it by donating a gift by Dec 18 at the “Elk Hut.”

The event offers creative activities like Advent wreath-making, bauble decorating, face painting, and ceramic painting. Live shows include magicians, soap bubble artists, and musical performances across genres like gospel, pop, swing, funk, Latin, and more. Santa Claus will make appearances on Nov 27, Dec 6, and Dec 19 to greet children and hand out sweets.

Evening Christmas Light Tours offer a 50-minute guided stroll through a dazzling display of lights. Tours can be booked online only, and begin at the light tour hut at the market.

The market is open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. (until 4 p.m. on Dec 24). Admission is free, with free one-hour parking and discounted parking for up to three hours.
