Minor Hotels To Bring Avani To Maldives' Baa Atoll

News

The Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort is situated on the pristine tropical island of Fares. The facility is slated to open on April 1, as it is currently under construction.

Minor's newest resort in the Maldives will have 176 rooms and mark the company's sixth resort in the region. The brand-new resort is conveniently located only 35 minutes from Velana International Airport (MLE), and it will provide a wide range of lodging choices, from private pool villas on the beach to sprawling pavilions with three or more bedrooms perched just above the island's turquoise waters.

A variety of bars and restaurants, a water sports centre, an AvaniKids and Teenagers Club, an AvaniFit gym, and a cutting-edge AvaniSpa are just some of the resort's amenities.

The resort's little organic farm will provide fresh food, while local fisherman will supply the catch of the day.

Baa Atoll is a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, providing maritime protection on 61 islands, including Fares. Hanifaru Bay, where visitors may swim with whale sharks and snorkel with manta rays, and the stunning series of ring-shaped islands known as the five islands landmark are both easily accessible from the resort. The resort's visitors will be able to enjoy all the wonders of the biosphere, including twelve separate diving spots just off the beach, a house reef teaming with marine life like as turtles and dolphins, and the neighbouring Fares reef, located only 600 metres from the coast.

William Costley, the company’s Senior VP of Operations for Asia, commented with the occasion:

"We are excited to confirm the opening date of the highly anticipated Avani+ Fares Maldives Resort and look forward to welcoming guests from 1st April 2023.

“The first hotel opening in the area for more than three years, Avani+ Fares will continue to highlight Avani as a trailblazing hotel brand, filling a gap in the Maldivian hotel landscape.”
