Marriott will open another Ritz-Carlton property in Australia

The Ritz-Carlton Gold Coast will be the result of a $480 million investment and will be located in the heart of the Mariner’s Cove area. The property will be the third one owned and managed by the Marriott group, this time with the participation of its partners Pelligra and Giannarelli.
Dion Giannarelli, Giannarelli Group’s CEO, commented about the highly anticipated launch:
"With the attention to detail and highest quality finishes we are applying to the project, we are confident The Ritz-Carlton, Gold Coast will be one of the world’s finest luxury resorts.”
Sean Hunt, Marriott International’s Area Vice President for Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific, added:
“The Ritz-Carlton, Gold Coast, will mark the third Marriott International property on the Gold Coast, joining our existing hotels JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa and Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort Gold Coast.
“It is a momentous signing, not only for our growing Gold Coast portfolio but for the expansion of the Ritz-Carlton brand in Australia, first relaunched with The Ritz-Carlton, Perth in 2019, and with The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne slated to open its doors in early 2023.”
The Gold Coast will offer 150 luxurious rooms and suites, an exclusive signature restaurant, a café, three bars, one lounge, as well as two spacious event rooms for the guests to enjoy. And of course, the rooftop pool and the signature Ritz-Carlton Spa and Fitness Center will not be absent from the new high-end resort.
The Ritz-Carlton Gold Coast’s guests will have easy access to the city’s most popular tourist attractions, so the hotel is also expected to boost revenue also for other businesses in the area.
The new Marriott hotel is scheduled to begin operations in 2026.
