Major International Events To Be Held In Turkey

As Turkey continues to develop as an essential worldwide economic hub, it will also play host to a number of prestigious events in 2023 and 2024.
More than three hundred tourism industry representatives, including government officials, hoteliers, travel companies, academics, and delegates from development agencies and non-governmental organisations, will gather in Antalya, on the Turkish Riviera, from May 9-12, for the GSTC Sustainable Tourism Conference.
After Turkey and the GSTC signed a groundbreaking cooperation contract in early 2022, speeding up the country's worldwide environmentally friendly practises and establishing an unprecedented National Sustainable Tourism Programme, the Sustainable Tourism Conference in Antalya will feature training, engaging conferences, meetings, and social activities over the course of four days.
The very first municipality in Turkey to hold the EuroVelo & bicycle Tourism Conference, which is widely considered the top international convention for bicycle tourism, will be Izmir on the Aegean Coast of Turkey from October 11 to 13.
The conference will be hosted by the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality and will be centred on relevant topics such as "Cycling: A New Perspective on Heritage," with a series of discussions addressing the link between the future of cycling travel and cultural heritage conservation. The conference is sponsored by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Turkish Tourism Promotion and Development Agency (TGA), and the European Cyclists' Federation (ECF).
The 28th edition of the Routes World conference, held between 15 and 17 October 2023 at the prestigious IGA - Istanbul Airport, is expected to draw more than 3,000 carrier, airport, and aviation professionals from across the globe, as the airport's goal is to serve over 100 million passengers by the year 2026.
The Routes World event is expected to help promote IGA - Istanbul Airport as "Türkiye's gateway to the world" as a part of its long-term development strategy.
