Lufthansa Returns Oktoberfest Flights from Stansted

Lufthansa is bringing Oktoberfest excitement to London and the East of England with the return of its special flights from London Stansted to Munich. Between 19 September and 5 October 2025, the German carrier will operate 14 evening flights to the Bavarian capital, perfectly timed for festival-goers eager to raise a traditional Masskrug stein at the world’s largest beer festival.
The flights, departing 19:50 from Stansted and arriving 22:30 in Munich on Airbus A320 aircraft, give travelers the chance to attend the opening ceremony on Saturday, 20 September, and immerse themselves in Bavarian culture, food, and music.
Oktoberfest, held at Theresienwiese Park, attracts over six million visitors annually, offering bratwursts, live bands, and some of Germany’s most popular beers. For football fans, the timing also allows for a weekend in Munich to watch England captain Harry Kane play for Bayern Munich against Werder Bremen on 26 September.
“We are delighted to welcome Lufthansa back to London Stansted, offering an easy and convenient way to experience Oktoberfest,” said Simon Gorrighan, Aviation Director at Stansted. “Flights are expected to be in high demand for this unique cultural and culinary celebration.”
Silvia Hadolt, Head of Regional Sales Northern Europe at Lufthansa Group, added: “Lufthansa is proud to bring travelers seamless access to Munich just in time for this iconic event.”
With Oktoberfest running until 5 October, Lufthansa’s seasonal flights provide the perfect link for travelers to enjoy beer, Bavarian traditions, and world-class hospitality.
