Li'i Was Safely Relocated To SeaWorld San Antonio

After spending the previous five years alongside the much-loved orca Lolita at the Miami Seaquarium, the dolphin is moving on to a new home.
The Miami Seaquarium tweeted that the orca's friend was safely relocated to SeaWorld in San Antonio, Texas, after "35 years under the care of Miami Seaquarium."
The dolphin known as Li'i has been transferred to an environment where he can live with other members of his species. Lolita's death prompted the animal care specialists to recommend rehoming
him in a suitable habitat.
"Although we will very much miss him, we feel happy to know this is the best for him,” the tweet stated.
The dolphin Li'i receives top-notch care, as SeaWorld San Antonio is one of only two facilities in the US to provide protection for this particular creatures. The skilled veterinary staff here is able to
take proper care of senior animals and create suitable life conditions.
Li'i, a 40-year-old dolphin, has been transferred to a new community with "some of the Pacific white-sided dolphins he previously resided with." For the rest of his life, he will be treated with
"world-class" attention according to recognized zoological requirements, SeaWorld declared.
According to NOAA, the Pacific white-sided dolphin has a life expectancy of over 40 years.
