LEGOLAND® New York Resort Launches 2024 Season with Partnership with Local Ski Mountain

This summer, LEGOLAND® New York Resort elevates the theme park experience with the Minifigure Skyflyer, a novel gondola ride, and partners with Belleayre Mountain for a unique ski gondola experience.

LEGOLAND® New York Resort introduces an exhilarating new attraction for its summer visitors—the Minifigure Skyflyer. This unique gondola-style ride, a pioneering concept among LEGOLAND® Resorts, offers an innovative mode of transportation that weaves through the park's themed lands, providing an engaging and interactive journey unlike any other.

To build excitement for its summer debut, LEGOLAND New York Resort has embarked on a creative partnership with Belleayre Mountain. This collaboration brings the magic of the Minifigure Skyflyer to the ski slopes, offering guests the chance to experience two specially-designed ski gondolas at The Catskill Thunder Gondola. These gondolas, adorned with the vibrant LEGOLAND New York Minifigure Skyflyer Pirate Party Pod imagery, promise a lively and immersive ascent to the mountain's peak, available starting today through April, weather permitting.

Ski enthusiasts who ride these special gondola pods at Belleayre Mountain will find a QR code inside, granting them exclusive access to "Kids Go Free" tickets with the purchase of an adult ticket. This offer enables families to plan a summer visit to LEGOLAND New York and be among the first to experience the Minifigure Skyflyer.

The Minifigure Skyflyer promises a full-sensory adventure from start to finish. The pre-boarding experience includes interactive elements such as hand-powered cranks to "charge" the cable car batteries and a disco-themed dance floor complete with LEGO® brick disco ball lights, setting the stage for a festive journey through the sky. The ride features seven distinct Party Pods, each with its own theme—from pirates to space exploration to disco—equipped with interactive features to entertain guests during their flight across the park.

Stephanie Johnson, Divisional Director of LEGOLAND New York, highlighted the Minifigure Skyflyer as a response to visitor feedback requesting more convenient ways to navigate the sprawling resort. This innovative attraction not only facilitates movement across the park's levels but also encourages creativity, imagination, and physical activity through dance and interaction.
