Italian Restaurant Luigi’s Opens at Helsinki Airport
Helsinki Airport has expanded its dining options with the opening of Luigi’s All Day Italian Restaurant & Bar, a new eatery serving authentic Italian dishes in the non-Schengen departure area at Gate 40.
The restaurant, inspired by classic Italian cuisine, features a striking open kitchen imported from Italy, complete with a bright red kitchen island designed for chefs to showcase live food preparation.
Luigi’s menu includes freshly prepared pizzas and pastas made to order, with pizza dough and focaccia baked onsite daily. In addition to hearty Italian staples, passengers can enjoy morning options such as freshly baked focaccia and a build-your-own yogurt bar, as well as house-made desserts like tiramisu and a signature lemon treat.
The restaurant’s interior blends Italian culinary flair with Finnish craftsmanship, as many of the furnishings are handmade in Finland. Luigi’s serves travellers throughout the day, offering food and drinks on site or to go — including warm meals ideal for flights.
Finavia says the new concept is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the diversity and quality of restaurant offerings at Helsinki Airport, ensuring that travellers have access to a broad range of international flavours before departure.
Passengers can discover more about the restaurant and menu on Luigi’s official website.
