ITA Airways launches new digital platform with redesigned app and website

ITA Airways has introduced a completely redesigned website and mobile app, marking a key step in its integration into the Lufthansa Group’s digital ecosystem.

 

Built on Lufthansa Group’s technology platform, the new digital solutions provide a more intuitive and efficient user experience, offering faster access to flight bookings, travel information and additional services. The upgrade aims to deliver a seamless and harmonized journey across Lufthansa Group airlines, while maintaining ITA Airways’ distinct brand identity.

The new app and website support passengers throughout the entire travel process, from searching and booking flights to managing reservations, payments, extra services and refund requests. Customers can also easily access and modify existing bookings and combine ITA Airways flights with those of other Lufthansa Group carriers within a single itinerary.

The integration enables ITA Airways to leverage advanced digital capabilities already recognized at an international level, including award-winning app technology within the Lufthansa Group.

The rollout is part of a broader collaboration between ITA Airways and the Lufthansa Group, which has already introduced codeshare agreements covering more than 150 destinations, partnerships between loyalty programmes Volare and Miles & More, and reciprocal lounge access.

Further enhancements are planned in the coming months, including Travel ID access, Miles & More integration, automated notifications via email and push alerts, and a unified check-in system across all Lufthansa Group airlines.

The new digital platform reflects ITA Airways’ strategy to place technology at the center of its operations, delivering a more personalized, efficient and connected travel experience.
