ITA Airways adds extra Rome–Delhi flights to repatriate stranded Italian nationals

News

ITA Airways has announced two additional flights between Rome Fiumicino and Delhi, scheduled for 24 and 25 March, as part of efforts to assist Italian nationals currently stranded in India.

The decision comes after consultations with Italy’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, which highlighted the growing number of citizens affected by travel disruptions linked to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East. Airspace restrictions and operational challenges across the region have significantly impacted flight connectivity.

The additional flights from Rome to Delhi will operate as follows:

  • 24 March: departure at 17:40 (local time), arrival at 05:55 (local time +1)

  • 25 March: departure at 17:35 (local time), arrival at 05:35 (local time +1)

Return flights from Delhi to Rome are scheduled as:

  • 25 March: departure at 08:25 (local time), arrival at 13:00 (local time)

  • 26 March: departure at 07:35 (local time), arrival at 11:55 (local time)

Tickets for these flights are available via the airline’s official website, mobile app and sales channels.

ITA Airways confirmed it continues to operate its direct services to Asia and is monitoring the situation closely, with the possibility of further schedule adjustments depending on geopolitical developments.
