Iberia to Offer Free Starlink Wi-Fi on All Flights

Airlines & Airports

Iberia has announced that all its passengers will soon enjoy free, high-speed in-flight Wi-Fi, following a new agreement between its parent company, IAG, and Starlink — the satellite internet service developed by SpaceX.

The rollout, set to begin in 2026, will bring Starlink’s advanced satellite connectivity to every Iberia aircraft, covering both short- and long-haul routes. Passengers in all cabins — economy, premium economy, and business — will have access to uninterrupted, high-speed internet from takeoff to landing.

The system promises download speeds of up to 450 Mbps and upload speeds up to 70 Mbps, allowing travelers to stream content, work remotely, play online games, or stay in touch in real time — even when flying over remote regions or the poles.

“Iberia customers will enjoy a Wi-Fi experience that feels just like home,” the airline said, highlighting that the new technology ensures global coverage and zero interruption throughout every flight.

The partnership with Starlink is part of Iberia’s broader Flight Plan 2030, a €6 billion transformation program focused on digitalization, artificial intelligence, and innovation. The plan also includes the development of Ciudad Iberia, a new aeronautical innovation hub designed to enhance operational efficiency and sustainability.

Iberia says the investment reaffirms its commitment to leading technological progress in European aviation, aiming for a more connected and customer-focused future.
