Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center Undergoes Renovations

News

Iowa's one and only Hyatt Regency is undergoing a multimillion-dollar renovation, which will be completed by the end of summer 2023.

The renovation of Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center includes a complete overhaul of the guestrooms and a reimagined, highly curated dining and beverage experience.

The Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center is located in the center of Iowa River Landing which is Coralville's fastest growing retail, restaurant and cultural hub. It is also just a few steps from the new Xtream Arena where regional and national sporting events and cultural events are held.

The 286 rooms will be completely remodeled to reflect the wants and needs of today's leisure travelers and business travelers.

The guest rooms will have smart lighting, enhanced connectivity, custom furniture, beds and desks, as well as custom flooring. The rooms will have 55-inch smart TVs and motion lighting. They will also feature hand-selected local art and carefully curated and selected local artwork. The king rooms will have a chaise longue for extra space to relax, work, or sleep.

The renovation will include two new suites and increase the number of guest rooms to 288. On the first floor of the hotel, guests will find a new Regency Club Lounge, an expanded gym, with state-of-the art equipment including PelotonR bicycles, a family room, and a resurfaced spa and pool.

Watermill Kitchen + Bar will be the new restaurant concept that the hotel will introduce as part of its transformation. The spacious patio will serve guests and locals alike, but also those who are looking for an authentic local dining experience. A new expanded cafe and market will be available at the hotel. The renovations will complement existing hotel amenities such as the Iowa Writers' Library, which is a collection of regional and national writers who have graduated from the University of Iowa's Writer's Workshop, as well as the Iowa River Landing Wetland Park, a natural backdrop that surrounds the hotel.

During the renovation, the hotel will donate existing furniture to local charities, such as Iowa City's Habitat for Humanity ReStore or Houses into Homes.

Hyatt Regency Coralville Hotel & Conference Center, owned by Coralville is managed by Marcus Hotels & Resorts.

The property is located near the Iowa River, Wetland Park and the Iowa River, making it a great place for tourists and locals to go on nature walks, enjoy bird watching, and take pictures of wildlife. Von Maur is a department store located in Iowa that Newsweek recently named the best department store of the country. The hotel is two miles away from the busy intersection between I-80 and I-380.
