Grand Hyatt Singapore Reopens After Major Renovation

Grand Hyatt Singapore has officially reopened following a multi-year transformation that repositions the 699-room landmark as a luxury lifestyle and wellness destination in the heart of Orchard Road.
Unveiled as a "Grand Living Room and Wellness Haven," the redesigned hotel introduces elegant interiors, immersive wellness experiences, and bold culinary offerings—all while operating on 100% renewable electricity and pushing the boundaries of sustainable hospitality.
Two Wings, Two Experiences
The Grand Wing, designed by Tokyo-based firm Strickland, offers 407 rooms with plush open layouts, Peranakan design accents, and luxe Patagonia stone bathrooms. Meanwhile, the Terrace Wing, immersed in tropical greenery, features 292 rooms inspired by nature—complete with koi ponds, waterfalls, and direct access to wellness lawns and the lap pool.
The hotel now boasts one of the largest premium room inventories in the city, including three new Grand Presidential Suites for exclusive stays and private entertaining.
Dining Elevated
The hotel is home to seven dining venues, headlined by Le Pristine Singapore, the Southeast Asian debut of Michelin-starred chef Sergio Herman, blending Italian flair with Zeeland soul.
Other highlights include:
-
StraitsKitchen: A halal-certified buffet showcasing local classics.
-
Pete’s Place: A revamped Italian trattoria with a chef’s table and wine cellar.
-
Oasis: Poolside dining with seafood and BBQ favorites.
-
BRIX: A multi-zone nightlife venue with live music five nights a week.
-
10|Scotts, Martini Bar, and The Shop round out the F&B experience with cocktails, tea service, and artisanal retail offerings.
A Wellness First Approach
At the core of the transformation is Damai, a full-scale wellness center offering mind-body treatments enhanced with light therapy, oceanic minerals, and a state-of-the-art Mind Body Therapy Wall—the only one of its kind in a Singapore hotel.
The facility includes hydrotherapy experiences, Technogym equipment, outdoor wellness lawns, and Southeast Asia’s first HYROX training club, blending performance fitness with holistic wellness.
Sustainability as Standard
Sustainability is a key pillar of the Grand Hyatt’s transformation. The hotel features:
-
A closed-loop aquaponics system for food waste conversion and rooftop farming.
-
Carbon tracking per dish, zero-waste kitchens, and contactless waste systems.
-
An in-house water bottling plant, eliminating plastic bottles entirely.
-
Green Mark Platinum certification and GSTC credentials for global sustainable tourism standards.
“Grand Hyatt Singapore has always been a place to stay and celebrate. Now, it’s a place to belong,” said General Manager Edouard Demptos. “This reintroduction reflects our commitment to delivering heartfelt hospitality with modern relevance.”
