London Gatwick Airport gears up for its busiest fortnight of the year, with top travel tips for passengers and popular Easter destinations announced.

As the Easter holiday season approaches, London Gatwick is bracing for its busiest two weeks of the year, ready to welcome a surge of passengers looking to escape or reunite with loved ones. With Easter Sunday (31 March) anticipated to be the peak day for departures and Sunday, 7 April expected to be the busiest day overall, the airport is fully prepared to ensure smooth operations for all travelers.

Nick Williams, Head of Passenger Operations at London Gatwick, expressed excitement about welcoming passengers and highlighted the collaborative efforts with airlines and partners to facilitate seamless travel experiences. "We're proud to offer an impressive array of 220 destinations across 56 airlines, providing our passengers with a wealth of choices for their holiday plans or family visits," Williams stated.

With popular short-haul destinations like Barcelona, Malaga, and Rome, and long-haul favorites such as Dubai, Orlando, and New York, Gatwick continues to be a key hub for holidaymakers and adventurers alike.

To aid travelers during this busy period, Gatwick has shared several top tips, including planning airport journeys in advance, booking official parking, preparing for security checks, and utilizing special assistance services when needed. Additionally, passengers are encouraged to arrive on time for their flights and to explore the airport's diverse dining options and shopping discounts, including a 10% off offer at World Duty Free’s Reserve & Collect service.

Amidst this bustling holiday period, Gatwick remains focused on its future growth and sustainability. The airport's planning application to routinely use its Northern Runway is currently under examination, promising enhanced resilience, reduced delays, and significant economic benefits through support for trade, tourism, and job creation.

As London Gatwick readies itself for the Easter rush, passengers are reminded to heed the airport's advice for a smoother and more enjoyable travel experience.
