Friuli Venezia Giulia in Italy – special offers for visitors

Located between Veneto and Trentino, Friuli Venezia Giulia is a less visited autonomous region in Italy, but as amazing as the crowded, popular attractions in the country.
With a distinctive architecture, similar to the one of the world-famous city of Venice, vibrant culture, unforgettable landscapes and incredible culinary offerings, Friuli Venezia Giulia was also a temporary home for prestigious writers such as James Joyce and Ernest Hemingway.
As for now, in order to boost local tourism, authorities in the tourist board have implemented a one-of-a-kind promotional campaign for this less-known area of the country. As a part of the current offer, train fares will be supported by the board for tourists visiting Trieste, Udine, Grado and Lignano Sabbiadoro. Latisana-Lignano-Bibione, Cervignano-Aquileia-Grado, Trieste Airport, Trieste Centrale, and Udine train stations are included in the new deal.
At the same time, visitors will enjoy free public transportation by using a FVGCard offered free of charge by the local board, as well as free or discount access to museums and selected attractions, exhibition and tours in the region. For example, visitors of the region will be able to enjoy discount entry to the Banksy show at the Salone deli Incanti in Trieste, scheduled from November 25 until April 10, 2023.
Access to other attractions, such as amusement parks, beaches, swimming pools, cultural hot spots, theatres, opera, or local cruises will as well be deducted as a part of the local promotional campaign.
The offer is valid for any visitor staying in Friuli Venezia Giulia for at least two nights, except for public holidays, Christmas and Easter periods, as well as first-class train tickets. Details about how to benefit the campaign can be found via PromoTurismoFVG website or the Travel One webpage.
So, when planning your next holiday in Italy, maybe you’ll want to add the beautiful Friuli Venezia Giulia on your bucket list this year or the next, and discover the area’s distinct history, traditions and unique identity.
