FlyOne Armenia Launches Vienna–Yerevan Flights
Vienna Airport has welcomed a new airline partner as FlyOne Armenia announced the launch of direct flights between Vienna and Yerevan, expanding connectivity between Austria and the Caucasus region.
The new service will begin on 3 April 2026, marking FlyOne Armenia’s first entry into the Austrian market. Initially, the route will operate once per week, with frequencies increasing to three weekly flights from June 2026. All services will be operated using an Airbus A320.
Vienna Airport’s joint CEO and COO, Julian Jäger, said the new route strengthens point-to-point traffic from Vienna and offers passengers greater flexibility and choice. He added that direct links to emerging destinations such as Armenia support the airport’s strategy of targeted network expansion.
FlyOne Armenia’s CEO and Accountable Manager, Aram Khachatryan, described the Vienna launch as an important milestone in the airline’s growth. He noted that Vienna offers strong potential and that the route is expected to contribute to increased passenger traffic and tourism exchange between Armenia and Austria.
Under the planned schedule, flights will depart Yerevan at 15:40, arriving in Vienna at 17:30, with return services leaving Vienna at 18:30 and landing in Yerevan at 23:50. In addition to point-to-point travel, passengers will be able to connect onward via Yerevan to other destinations within the FlyOne network.
The new route provides easier access to Yerevan, one of the world’s oldest cities and a gateway between Europe and Asia. Armenia is increasingly recognised as an emerging travel destination, known for its UNESCO World Heritage sites, dramatic natural landscapes, historic monasteries and distinctive culinary culture.
With the addition of FlyOne Armenia, Vienna Airport continues to broaden its route network while strengthening links to developing tourism markets beyond Europe’s traditional travel corridors.
